I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

If water is leaking, turn the water off at the nearest location or at the mains tap outside. If you can’t find the water main shutoff valve or a tap to the appliance, then turn on all the cold taps inside and out to help depressurise the household pipework and minimise the leak.

Once you have stopped the problem from growing, give our emergency plumber a ring, any time of the day or night. We will be there quickly to resolve the problem.

While you wait for our plumber to arrive, start cleaning up any water, put a bucket to catch any drips, and remove valuable things from the affected area. If the property water is turned off, then also switch off the heating for the hot water.
