If you’re unable to find the water valve to turn off, then you can try turning on all the cold water taps inside and outside your residence to depressurise the system and reduce the leak.

While you wait for our emergency plumber, remove any important things, mop up any water, and position a container to catch drips. You should also switch off the hot water heating if the main water is turned off.

Help, I don’t know where the main water shutoff valve is!
